Need to Ban Polybags
Polythene bags or plastic bags are posing a great hazard to our environment. Their use s increasing day by day because they are cheaper and lighter than other packing materials They are thrown away with the household litter after they have been used. But the trouble with polythene bags is that while all other litter is biodegradable, plastics never decay. When dumped on the ground, they give a very dirty look. Many harmful pests and germs can germinate in the heap and spread disease. Plastics spoil the fertility of the soil also, They can choke the sewerage and kill bacteria which breaks down the sewage into harmless substances. They contaminate the water of seas, rivers and lakes. Then the fish and othet water animals begin to die, So the use of polythene bags should be banned by law. Heavy fines should be imposed on those who manufacture them or use them. This can prove a big step in solving the problem of pollutions
