The Role of Students in Preserving Ecological Balance 


Ecological balance means maintaining a proper relationship among plants, animals and their environment. It is concerned with the way living things share the earth we live on. Under normal conditions, the living things of a natural community go through a cycle of birth, reproduction, eating and being eaten. This cycle keeps communities fairly stable.

 When the numbers of one animal community increase beyond the ability of the environment jo feed it, starvation or disease may occur. It disturbs the whole ecological balance. For gample. the increase of human population has adversely affected this balance, Forests have peen cut down and many species of birds and animals have become extinct. Students can play a significant role in preserving ecological balance. ‘They can help in creating mass gwareness about the importance of presetving this balance. By growing more and more gees, they can also help in restoring the loss that has been done.
